EVONIK NAMES MODERN PLASTICS AS THE KEY DISTRIBUTOR OF VESTAKEEP® MEDICAL PEEK IN NORTH AMERICA
Evonik Degussa Corporation has named Modern Plastics as their distributor of its VESTAKEEP® Medical PEEK (polyetheretherketone). Under the agreement, Modern Plastics will market, sell and distribute the full line of VESTAKEEP® Medical products designed for short-term contact and permanent implant medical devices and applications throughout the United States and Canada.

Modern Plastics experience in the handling and distribution of medical grade plastics is conducted to extraordinary levels beginning with strict ISO policies and procedures with regard to product lot and batch control, individual plastic material barcoding and detailed material certifications per ISO standards. “Our medical grade plastics utilize clean-process material handling techniques in an environmentally controlled storage facility, where proper temperature and humidity is rigidly maintained and tracked with positive air-flow conditions in a completely sealed environment,” said Carbone.
The agreement covers VESTAKEEP® medical products including implant grade powder, implant grade resin, multiple diameter stock shapes in one and three-meter lengths and other stock shapes for consideration. Resin lines are available in 5kg and 10kg containers with larger amounts available upon request. All VESTAKEEP® M-Grade and I-Grade PEEK polymers are manufactured to meet ASTM F2026 specification and are produced and extensively tested to meet ISO-10993 requirements.
